Santini NAT Racer Bibs
Everyone knows that the more panels that your cycling shorts are comprised of, the better they fit. Right? Santini revisited this popular claim and realized that conversely, fewer panels means fewer seams, and fewer seams means less chafing. The Santini Nat Racer Bib Short is designed using this premise.
The shorts were knit from Santini's exclusive Onda fabric. This knit supports and fits the thighs to provide light compression. Following a series of "waves" (Onda means 'wave' in Italian), the knit alternates between single and multiple Lycra threads. This helps the shorts to grip securely while still maintaining breathability so that you remain cool and comfortable. Additionally, the leg grippers are incorporated directly into the knit so that there is no binding or pinching. The bibs are held in place with T-shaped elastic mesh straps.
Santini built the Nat Racer bibs around its best-selling NAT chamois. This chamois is a multi-density insert that features a NEXT gel core. Designed for the hottest days, the gel is sandwiched between two foam layers ranging from 2mm to 4mm thick. The top layer is anti-bacterial microfiber which moves moisture away from the skin to keep you chafe-free. The bottom layer extends into wings to protect sensitive areas from friction and irritation. The depressions in the insert are stitched from the inside-out so that there are no stitches or seams in contact with the skin.
The Santini Nat Racer Bib Short is available in seven sizes from X-Small to XXX-Large and in the color Black.
