Santini 2014 Summer Interactive Aero Jersey

Just when we thought jerseys couldn't get any more aerodynamic or form-fitting, Santini found a way to go above and beyond our expectations. Its Interactive Aero Jersey takes jersey design to the next level and creates a near second-skin that works in perfect conjunction with its Interactive Bib Shorts.

Santini constructed the jersey from two fabrics that work together to blend a seamless fit with moisture control. The front panels are sewn from a lightweight and breathable material called Artico. The back panels are made from LycraKa, which is a highly elastic micromesh that ensures elasticity and comfort while in the tucked position. It also helps to move moisture to the outside of the jersey where it is quickly evaporated to keep you dry. In this manner, the form fit of the jersey is complemented by fabrics that work to keep you cool so that energy goes into your pedal stroke and not into thermo-regulation. Santini included a full-length zipper so that you're able to personalize ventilation in the heat of the race.

Why exactly is this jersey "interactive." Well, it is designed to be worn specifically with the Santini Interactive Bib Shorts. And as such, there is a small zipper fitted internally into the hem of the jersey that connects to its other half at the back of the bib shorts. This effectively creates a skinsuit with the functionality and comfort of a two-piece kit. It is zipped together for maximum aero-efficiency but breaks away in the front to maximize airflow and movement. And, when nature calls, it makes it all the easier. This design was originally created with sprinters in mind, but is perfect for any speed-minded rider. The sleeve hems feature an anti-slip, non-pinching Lycra band that enhances the aerodynamic properties of the jersey. Three back pockets hold all of your riding essentials.
